July 8th, 2020: One night, our friend Jesse hit Therese up and asked if she wanted to go on a cruise at Angeles Crest. She had nothing better to do since we were in the middle of quarantine, so she decided to go. It was a quick drive, and once they got service, he got a call from his friends asking if he wanted to go to a car meet. Therese didn’t want to go, but our friend Jen said yes before she could respond, and who was she to take away her fun? She met a lot of fun people that night so they started hanging out regularly. Little did she know that Jake had met those same people just weeks before her. In-N-Out Summer Nights: Therese had pulled up to another Porter Ranch parking lot group hangout, and the whole “car group” was supposed to go that night. Jake drives up with anime music blasting on his full anime decal-covered car and his little brother jumps out and starts twerking. From that point on, Therese knew to stay away at all costs. She avoided them and didn’t like Jake. It stayed that way for a couple of weeks. Jake had some good humor, so eventually, that got us to talk a little more. Also luckily for Jake, Therese couldn’t drive. She needed a ride one day and he offered to scoop her up. But that quickly turned into a usual routine. We Know Where It Goes From Here: From there, we started to do random errands together, switched teddy bears, and had long talks before I went inside my house and eventually, we started dating September 1st, 2020. We were able to find our forever best friend and love. Thank you all for being part of this story and watching us grow into the people we are today.
