We have to admit—we’re an online dating success story. Within days of chatting online, fate intervened, we had a random encounter at a local dive bar. Teighlor was meeting a friend for a burger, and Jake, though out of his usual area, happened to be checking on the place. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect—like a Hallmark movie come to life. The first thing Jake noticed? A beautiful gal and her Michigan license plate (thank goodness it wasn’t the neon shirt and messy, post-move hair!). The first thing Teighlor noticed? A hottie in uniform and a Southern accent that made her heart skip a beat. Jake thought Teighlor might be on a date (she wasn’t!), but he couldn’t let the chance slip away, so of course he asked her out. Not long after, Jake broke out his guitar—the first song he sang to her? Traveling Alone by Jason Isbell. It was in that moment Teighlor knew she was locked in (no one should be shocked lol). From that point on, everything fell into place, but with one crucial condition: our dogs had to get along. Teighlor had two pups, Ollie and Gus Gus, while Jake had Bella and Juniper. Since our dogs are such a huge part of our lives, it was non-negotiable—if they didn’t get along, it just wouldn’t work. Luckily, they all became the best of friends. Since then, we’ve spent every possible moment together—concerts, karaoke, golfing, camping, exploring the mountains, or just hanging out on the couch watching our favorite shows. Our love for the outdoors, especially the Big Horn Mountains, has always been a cornerstone of our relationship. So, it was only fitting that Jake proposed there, in one of our favorite spots overlooking the range. Teighlor was completely shocked (her exact words: “shut up, for real!?”), followed by the easiest “yes” ever. We’re thrilled to be getting married in the mountains that mean so much to us, and can’t wait to share our special day with all of you. Let’s celebrate!
