Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

There will be car parking available at Oak Grove Church located at 6101 32nd Avenue, Shellsburg, and motorcycles may park at our home for the ride. Please follow signs posted for directions to the appropriate parking area. A shuttle will start hauling people in as early as 2:15 PM so please feel free to arrive early and allow ample time for the shuttle ride, and it will remain available through the evening to take you back to your vehicles.

Question

My GPS has me taking gravel roads, what if I don't want to drive on gravel?

Answer

When using your phone's GPS to navigate to our home, if you are taking 380, it will recommend taking the Center Point exit which will send you down a few miles of gravel. If you would like to avoid taking gravel roads, you can either go through Palo and Shellsburg, or if you prefer to take 380, I advise taking the following exit for Urbana, turning left on Sunset Street, left again after Casey's onto North Union Avenue, and continue down the black top following signs for appropriate parking. As I am sure you have figured out by now, we are quite a ways out of town and suggest you carpool if possible!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please try to RSVP by August 24th. You can RSVP online, or directly to Jake or Taran.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There sure isn't! You can treat this as any other day if that is what makes you comfortable. Our only recommendation involves your footwear - this will be an outdoor wedding in our yard, and although we try to take care of it, heels are probably not ideal.

Question

Are you registered? If so, where?

Answer

We've spent years building this life together and truly have all we will ever need, the gift of your presence is more than enough! But if you would like to help us continue to update our home, improve our property, and create our dream forever home, please visit our registry page.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

To allow time for parking, the shuttle ride, and brief introductions while you find your seats, please try to arrive 20-30 minutes early.

Question

Will there be down time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Following the ceremony, we will be squeezing in a ride to include "wife 1" in our special day, and some of you may even be joining us! For those of you that do not go on the ride, there will be yard games for everyone to play, beverages to drink, and plenty of new people to meet and share our most embarrassing stories with before we return for the start of the reception.

Question

What are the plans if it rains?

Answer

We will be getting married rain or shine, after being together over eight years and engaged for nearly three of those, there is no stopping us. We will have our shop space available and canopy tents put up to provide additional coverage if needed.

Question

Can I take pictures of the ceremony?

Answer

We have been working with our family photographer for years and ask that you please keep your phones put away during the ceremony so we can guarantee her the best shots! We promise to share the photos with all of you as soon as we get them back!

For all the days along the way
