Jake & Tania first met as kids at Sacramento Elementary School. Although they weren't friends, they always knew of each other throughout school. And if you ask Jake, he would tell you that Tania was his first ever crush. Many years later as adults, they met again through a mutual friend and hit it off. Jake likes to say his "amazing" bowling skills won her over, but Tania would say his calm, sweet demeanor did. From his first crush, to his first girlfriend, to his soon-to-be wife.

Jake & Tania's first ever picture together was taken at the Otero County Fair, in September of 2023. They started dating after their first date at Applebee's (Jake decided) on September 18th, 2023. Jake & Tania's mom (with Jake's mom on the phone) had gone ring shopping on Tania's birthday, November 20th, 2024. Meaning everyone had to hide the secret till Jake proposed on his birthday, June 7th, 2025. He used family photos as an excuse to get her dolled up and hire a photographer. Lastly, at 4'10" & 6', Jake reaches all the top shelves Tania can't and Tania picks up all the stuff Jake drops. The perfect match!
