Question

Where is Blue River, CO?

Answer

Blue River, CO is about an hour and a half west of Denver. It's a stunnning town right outside of Breckenridge, CO. Breckenridge is a major destination here in Colorado and will have many fun things for us all to explore together. We are excited to spend a weekend in the Rocky Mountains together. Please note that Blue River sits at around 10,000 ft. elevation. Some people can be sensitive to change in altitude. Please drink extra water in the week leading up to the wedding to prepare your body for this drastic change.

Question

So, what's up with this Airbnb?

Answer

Check it out for yourself! If the link below doesn't work, type the following address into AirBnB: 45 Cooney Ct Blue River, CO https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/39053105?check_in=2024-10-11&check_out=2024-10-13&guests=1&adults=14&children=2&s=67&unique_share_id=94f52137-3de7-4595-a8e9-62ed3a82e1bf

Question

How do I pay for my stay?

Answer

You can Venmo Stacy. Her venmo username is @stacymawie. Let us know if you don't use Venmo, and we can coordinate a way that works easier for you. Also let us know if for any reason you cannot pay, the most important thing to us is that you all are present and don't want money to be a deterring factor!

Question

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

We are hoping to hold the ceremony at a waterfall we frequented when we first started dating. It is located at Montgomery Reservoir in Alma, CO. It is a really scenic area with stunning mountain views, a river, a lake, and an old abandonded mine. We can't wait to share it with you!

Question

When is the ceremony?

Answer

October 12th. The exact time is flexible depending on weather (which changes rapidly in the Colorado Rocky Mountains), but ideally we would hold it earlier rather than later (11 AM-ish) so that we can enjoy the rest of the day together.

Question

More ceremony details... (please read!)

Answer

We thought long and hard about the flow of the ceremony and what would be most special to us. We decided that we would love to have everyone involved in uniting us for life. We are asking each person to please think of one thing they want to impart on us as we begin our lifelong union. This can be a well-wish, a piece of advice, or something endearing. Please keep it short and sweet, 1-2 sentences. After each person goes around and shares their piece, we will exchange our vows, and the ceremony will be done.

Question

What are we eating?

Answer

Let's just all cook together at the house. This will be more affordable and probably more fun for everyone involved. There is a grocery store in Breckenridge - City Market (similar to a Safeway) and Jake and I will probably make a Costco run for some things down in Denver before heading to the mountains. We can coordinate meals as it gets closer.

Question

Do we all have our own rooms?

Answer

Yes. The Airbnb has enough rooms and beds for each family/couple to have their own space.

Question

What should we pack?

Answer

Check the weather the week before the event and plan accordingly! The Colorado sun feels hotter than other places, but it also gets very chilly at night. I always tell people to come prepared for everything. Otherwise, this is going to be relatively informal gathering. Bring some things to be cozy at home and also some things for some outdoors time.
