Our Engagement
On December 16, 2023, Richard pulled off the ultimate surprise—and Jake said yes! As part of Jake’s graduation gift, Richard arranged a professional photo shoot, but behind the scenes, he had been secretly plotting with the photographer to turn it into something even more special: an engagement shoot! The photographer was all in on the plan, making sure everything went perfectly.
They started the session at the Herty Field fountain on the University of Georgia campus. The setting was serene, with just the two of us, the photographer, and the fountain quietly bubbling in the background. After a few solo shots of Jake, the photographer casually invited Richard to join for some couple photos. And then, in the middle of a perfectly ordinary pose, Richard got down on one knee. The moment was magical, and luckily for Jake, the "yes" came out faster than the fountain water behind them! Best part? Richard got the whole thing on video—so we get to relive the magical moment whenever we want!
