Manitou Incline
For our adventurous guests... The Manitou Incline is one of the most popular hiking trails in Colorado. The Incline is steep. It gains over 2,000 feet of elevation in less than one mile. The base of the Incline is located in Manitou Springs near the base of the Barr Trail and across the street from the Cog Railroad. Please note that you will be required to have reservations to do this hike.
Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center
More for our adventure seekers... This is a beautiful area for hiking or running. Lots of shorter trails usually ranging up to 3 miles.
Donut Mill
For our hungry guests... In Woodland Park, Colorado the World Famous Donut Mill is the place that you must experience at least once. The huge doughnuts are delicious, and the helpful staff is as nice as can be. Eat in or call in an order to be picked up later. The Donut Mill has been a local & Colorado favorite since 1983.
BierWerks
For our thirsty guests... We couldn’t round out our local recommendations without mentioning a great small-town microbrewery called, BierWerks Brewery. As you might guess, they offer German-style lagers and ales, and hoppy brews. They also serve gluten-free beer in bottles so there is a beer for everyone. On the menu you will find (Colorado-made!) sausages, bratwurst, Wisconsin cheeses, pretzels, and salami available all year. And during the summer the menu also offers wood-fired pizza and smoked BBQ.
