Jake and Natalie met in 2014 at the University of Michigan, in the basement of a college party house on State Street. Both athletes, both extremely competitive, and both unaware what that quick "nice to meet you," would lead to 10 years later. It wasn’t until Welcome Week sophomore year when they kept running into each other at multiple events, that things began to change. It took a little while for Jake to ask for Natalie’s number and as he likes to say, “work for what you want”, but from the first date on, they were spending most of their days together. They have overcome a lot of challenging times, both individually and together, which has created a strength in their relationship to get through pretty much anything. Jake proposed to Natalie in July of 2021 while on vacation with the Carti family in Cabo. A few months later, they decided to move back to Ann Arbor where it all started, joined by their two dogs, Blue and Whopper. Between tons of fun travel, career changes, moving boxes, and adventures with their dog sons, they are now enjoying city life in Chicago, working hard, and excited to continue building their life together.
