We had a lovely private wedding ceremony on the morning of New Year's Eve. But we still want a wedding celebration with our most loved family and friends. And we are leaning into the celebration part. We won't have a traditional ceremony, but the weekend will include many other parts of a traditional wedding - food, games, drinks, and dancing.
Carpooling can be a fun way to extend the weekend! If you are interested in carpooling, please indicate in the RSVP (or reach out!) and we will try to connect you with travel buddies.
We would love to have you stay at the camp with us! There is a $100 per person linen fee - this is the only fee for the weekend, but the camp does ask for you not to bring your own linens. The cabins all have electricity and bathrooms (with hot water) and several bunks. These are shared cabins with up to 12 bunks per cabin. Not all bunks will be filled, but expect to share the cabin with others. Cabin assignments will be provided closer to September.
You are welcome to camp on-site for no cost. RV or tent camping is restricted to non-grassy areas of camp that aren't access roads, and note that the camp does not have any RV hookups for sewage, electrical, water, etc. Just make sure to bring your own sleeping bag - it'll could get chilly at night! (For example, the campfire near teepee village or the area outside of the gym are fine for tent camping)
No! If camping or cabins aren't your thing, there are other inns, hotels, and Airbnb's in the area. We suggest booking early to guarantee you have a comfortable reservation. Waterford is a small town and local accommodations don't provide hotel blocks. If you have any questions, please reach out!
Wear whatever you’re comfortable for all the weekend. Camp Cocktail is the inspiration for the reception on Saturday night. Interpret that however you like – just wear something that makes you feel great! We will have a photographer Saturday evening, so your outfit will live on in an album on our shelf for decades to come. You may want to bring a jacket – there will be plenty of opportunities to be outside throughout the night.
Nope! We know we’re asking a lot just by inviting you to travel all the way to Camp Waziyatah in Maine and spend the weekend celebrating with us—that alone means the world. If you really feel compelled to give something, here are a few ideas: we'd love to eat dinner or have coffee with you; we'd be thrilled to go on an adventure with you, whatever that looks like; or we'd love to hang some of your (or someone you know's) art in our future home.
Yes! Kids are welcome to join for the weekend. For the evening reception on Saturday the 13th, we’re planning on providing babysitters on-site so parents can relax and enjoy the night. If you'd like to use the childcare option, just let us know when you RSVP!
You can pay on the website in the "Linen Fee" tab - there's an option for either credit card or Venmo. You can also pay with a check, Venmo (@Megan-Dignan), or Zelle (203-675-4968).
