Jake and Madie met at their junior college, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, through a mutual friend and the sport they both love. At first, they both were not in a good place to start dating so they became really close friends. Well then what do you know, friends turned into lovers, and they eventually made it official on March 14th, 2021. Then their love story ran through all kinds of adventures. 3 months into dating, Jake had to return home to England over the summer break. This was their first big test. They were not only an ocean apart but there was also the 6-hour time difference. However, their loved prevailed the long-distance and when Jake returned to America, Madie was waiting for him. Long-distance has been quite the theme within their relationship. They experienced long distance between Oskaloosa, Iowa and Miami, OK, Oklahoma City, OK and Miami, then Oklahoma City and Tahlequah, OK, now Tahlequah and Springfield, MO. No matter the distance that was put between them, they always found a way back to each other. They also found a way to travel all across the world together. They have been to Kansas City, multiple places in Colorado, so many places in Arkansas, Dauphin Island in Alabama, Kissimmee in Florida, Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park, Branson in Missouri, New Jersey, New York City, and they even traveled over the North Atlantic Ocean together so Madie could meet his family in England. While they were there Madie got to experience so many new things she had never done before. She also got to see where Jake grew up and this only made her love him even more. It is crazy that they grew up in two different countries, continents even, and somehow found each other. They have been through hard times and great times; however, they stayed strong and only grew closer. They truly were meant for each other and are a match made in heaven. Finally, on August 3rd, 2025, during the sunset at the lake, Jake popped the question, and Madie said the easiest "yes" she had said in her whole life. Therefore, now they are here. Planning a wedding and so beyond excited for you guys to be there!
