We met in November of 2020. Jake was 19, and Lily was 17. Although we grew up in the same small town, our paths didn’t cross until that night at Plymouth Beach. What started as a simple meeting turned into hours of driving around downtown Plymouth, talking about everything and nothing at all. From the very beginning, there was an instant connection, and we quickly realized we shared so many mutual friends we never even knew about. It felt like the universe had been quietly leading us to each other all along. What truly made everything fall into place was meeting each other’s families. We instantly felt comfortable, welcomed, and loved as we had always belonged. Before we knew it, we became best friends, spending every moment together and building a life side by side. In 2021, we moved in together, supporting and encouraging one another as we started our careers. Jake jumped into his family business, while Lily began her nursing school prerequisites. In 2022, our little family grew when we brought home our big fluffy furball, Gus and just like that, everything felt complete. In 2023, we bought our first home together and loved every minute of turning it into our place. Then came 2024 the year we got engaged! On July 4th, Jake pulled off the ultimate surprise and proposed at Plymouth Beach, right where our story began, surrounded by our closest family and friends. Lily was completely shocked (and still can’t believe everyone managed to keep the secret!). We are so excited to celebrate our love with you and officially start our forever on September 12, 2026. We can’t wait to have you be part of our love story.
