Our Story

Jake and Kristine’s story began back in high school as friends, somewhere between ceramics class, senior seminar, and the occasional hallway pass. Kristine spent most of ceramics class dodging flying bits of clay from Jake’s corner of the room — clearly an early sign that things would never be boring between them. Fate clearly had bigger plans. Years later, in the middle of the pandemic, their paths crossed again in the most unexpected way — when Jake showed up at Kristine’s door delivering soap. One delivery led to another, and before long, his daily drop-offs turned into long conversations, laughter, and the start of something special. What began as a reconnection quickly grew into a relationship full of adventure and fun. Whether they’re at concerts, exploring new places, camping under the stars, or relaxing at home with their two pets, Oliver and Bear, Jake and Kristine love sharing life’s big and small moments together. They’re best friends who never stop finding new ways to laugh and make memories — often while planning their next trip to Wisconsin. In 2024, during their first international trip together, Jake proposed near the breathtaking Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany — a fairytale moment in a fairytale place. A week later, he followed it with a private proposal at Kristine’s family’s cabin in Princeton, Wisconsin — a town that holds decades of memories for them both. It was the perfect reflection of who they are: a mix of adventure, laughter, and the comforting feeling of home.
