August 30, 2019 Kelly's First Time Visiting Jake in Washington D.C. Jake pulled out all the stops for Kelly's first trip - they went hiking at Sugarloaf Moutain, rehydrated after at Flying Dog Brewery, and finished with a Nationals baseball game. This weekend solidified that a long distance relationship was going to be more than worth it. Also of importance, August 30th is Kelly's birthday so even if the weekend was sub-average, it would still be one of Kelly's favorite dates. December 27, 2019 Jake's First Trip to Davenport, IA Jake's first weekend in Davenport started out with the simple things like meeting Kelly's family dogs, eating lunch at Lagomarcino's, and going out in Downtown Davenport. The weekend ended with Katie and Marshall Baber's New Year's Eve wedding, the biggest party of the century, where Jake was thrown into meeting almost all of Kelly's extended family. As a surprise to no one, he passed with flying colors. June 30, 2021 Long Distances Comes to an End After two years of flying back-and-forth, Kelly moves to Washington D.C. and their chapter of dating 850 miles apart closes. It's no wonder this is on the list for one of their favorite dates. August 12, 2022 The Proposal Jake convinces Kelly they are headed to a work dinner for his recent promotion. On their walk there through a park that overlooks D.C., Jake got down on one knee and popped the question. Jake planned the perfect weekend to follow with celebrations with friends and even surprising Kelly again when they picked her parents up from the airport. October 7, 2023 The Wedding This date has not happened yet, but Kelly and Jake have a pretty good feeling about it. We cannot wait to be married and celebrate with all of our favorite people in one of our favorite places! We are so thankful for everyone that will be a part of our wedding day and in all the days to follow.
