We're Getting Married!

The story of how we met could be used as a script for a romantic comedy movie. Boy meets girl, boy stalks girl relentlessly, girl tries to avoid boy at all costs, boy never gives up and sooner or later wins over the girl’s heart. Out of the 3,000 people on our campus we managed to become best friends in Kayla's first week of college (It didn’t hurt that I was her freshmen orientation advisor, and as soon as she checked into orientation I told all of my friends “dibs”). From then on we were inseparable. Ultimately, out of a city with 1.5 million people we found our way to each other. The odds were slim to none, but I think we can both agree, we met our soul mate!

The day we met August 18th was a very special day for the both of us. To honor that day, Jake took me to our spot on campus, this beautiful gazebo where we would talk about our lives, cry about our troubles, and ultimately fall in love. Three years later, I was unexpectedly about to get my forever. He got on one knee, asked me to marry him and I was so in shock, that I said "Is this real?" through tears of joy. He laughed, said yes, and then I ugly cried trying to get the words out "of course, I will!" and we were engaged. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
