FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be casual! Jeans and a ball cap are acceptable. For reference, the bridesmaids will be wearing shades of dark and light green, and the groomsmen will be in jeans with suit jackets.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will be indoors. We recommend comfortable shoes suitable for outdoor wear and indoor dancing.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Children are welcome. That said, if you’re able to arrange a sitter, we encourage you to enjoy a fun date night with us.

Question

Are plus-ones welcome?

Answer

Yes, plus-ones are welcome. However, we do have a full guest list already, so we kindly ask that you use your best judgment when bringing a guest. Please be sure they are included in your RSVP.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 4:00 PM. We suggest arriving between 3:00-3:30 PM so you have time to park, grab a drink, and take the short shuttle to the ceremony site on the backside of the property. Please try to be there no later than 3:45 PM, so you don’t miss the big moment! If you’re just joining us for the DJ and dancing, come on by after dinner, around 7:00 PM. We’ll be ready to celebrate with you!

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes! A cash and card bar will be open from 3:00–3:30 PM for a pre-ceremony drink, then again during the cocktail hour after the ceremony. Dinner starts at 6:00 PM, and the bar will stay open through the night until midnight.

Question

Will food be provided?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be serving Flip Flop Chicken (grilled chicken) along with a variety of sides and desserts. Light snacks will be available during the cocktail hour before dinner.

Question

Are there camping or hotel options nearby?

Answer

Yes! We have limited primitive camping available on-site. These sites are dry—no power or water—but you’re welcome to bring a generator. Campsites are $35 per night. Check-in is available from 10:00 AM–noon on the day of the wedding, and check-out is by 10:00 AM the following morning. For more information or to book a campsite, email us at dixons@dixonsapples.com or call 715-313-0315. For those who prefer a hotel, we’ve added a variety of options to the website. Several hotels are available in the Eau Claire and Chippewa areas, about 15+ minutes from the venue.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to the venue?

Answer

We will not have a shuttle running. Uber and other ride-share services are available in the area. Please make sure to arrange a responsible driver, so everyone can safely enjoy the celebration.
