Ask Jake and Jul at 4699121050!
Yes! It was important to us to have our loved ones present to witness our vows. We’re treating this ceremony as a vow renewal, where you’ll hear our original vows along with a few additions after a year and a half of marriage.
With our work schedules, we would have had to choose between a long engagement or a quickly planned, impersonal wedding- neither felt right to us. Eloping allowed us to start our lives together sooner while still giving us the time and space to plan the celebration we truly wanted.
May 23, 2026
The ceremony begins at 4pm, please arrive at 3:30 pm, no later than 3:45pm.
Kindly RSVP by April 10. RSVP's can be done via the QR code on the back of the Peony in your invitations or directly on this website in the RSVP tab above.
All will take place at The Manor at Bohemia Overlook in North East, Maryland. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn facing the Manor, followed by cocktail hour by the fountain overlooking the Elk River (weather depending). The reception will take place in a covered tent on the Manor grounds.
The dress code is formal attire. We invite guests to dress in their best—think cocktail dresses, floor-length gowns, dressy jumpsuits, suits, or tuxedos. Suits with ties are perfect, and tuxedos are welcome. Since parts of the event will be held outdoors on the lawn, we recommend footwear that’s comfortable and appropriate for grass.
For convenience, we recommend staying in North East, Maryland, close to all wedding weekend events. A hotel block and wedding day transportation will be provided between the hotel and the wedding venue. There are also Airbnb and VRBO options available in the area if preferred. More information can be found in the Travel section.
On-site parking will be available at The Manor at Bohemia Overlook, with attendants present to assist and direct guests. For those who prefer not to drive after the celebration, a separate overnight parking lot will be available. Vehicles left overnight must be retrieved by 10:00 AM the next day.
On the day of the wedding, shuttles will be available to transport guests between the hotel and the venue and back. Shuttle details and timing will be shared in the "Travel" section closer to the wedding. You are also welcome to drive to the venue if you prefer - please plan to do so responsibly.
We kindly ask that our ceremony be an unplugged ceremony. Please refrain from taking photos or videos and join us in being fully present for the moment. We have an incredible photographer who will capture everything for us to share afterward.
Food and drinks will be served at a seated dinner, with light bites and drinks available during cocktail hour. Please note any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
We’re looking forward to celebrating with our loved ones! To help us plan accordingly, please refer to your RSVP to see who has been invited, including children and plus ones.
Please refer to the Schedule section for full details. Our wedding ceremony and reception will take place on Saturday, followed by an after-party for those who wish to keep the celebration going. On Sunday, Jake and Julianna have reserved a pavilion at Elk Neck State Park for a casual send-off before guests head home.
Consider it a final opportunity to spend time together before we say our goodbyes. We have a Pavilion booked at Elk Neck State park, will have lunch catered, and are will have games available for playing and mingling. Feel free to bring any card/board games you love! This is a casual event - you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift. We are fortunate to already have everything we need, but for those who wish to give, we have set up a cash fund to support the next chapter of our life together.
