Jordan and Jake met through their good friends Bella and Casey. Jordan and Bella grew up together in Columbus, OH. Jake met Casey when he moved to Columbus in 2013. As it turned out, Bella and Casey were dating. Jake and Jordan met many times over the next 4 years, at game nights, dinners, and more. After their first official date, though, it was love at first sight. Well, love at first date at least.

Jake and Jordan knew after their second or third date that they were going to marry one another -- though, both did their best to conceal the strength of their affection so as not to scare off the other. Then, approximately a year and a half after their first date, in the midst of a global pandemic, Jake got down on one knee in their living room of their apartment -- both families secretly on video chat in the background -- when she officially exclaimed through teary eyes: "Yes!!!"
