Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Excellent question! We anticipate that everyone's fashion will be a very exciting factor for this celebration. Our wedding will have a Studio 54 aesthetic. We have made a Pinterest board for guests to gather inspiration. Please keep your minds open and be creative! We want to see everyone looking their most authentic and extravagant. https://www.pinterest.com/joeygordon31121/wedding-guest-attire/ We hope this board gives you inspiration! We do not expect people to empty their pockets for their attire; we just want you to be bold and creative. Have fun with it!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking at The Bates house.

Question

Is the ceremony in the same place as the reception?

Answer

Yes! The Bates House is part of Frank Melville Park, which is absolutely beautiful. We hope you will take some time to explore the park following the pathway after the ceremony. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside on the lawn of The Bates House. Our celebration will begin with cocktail hour and reception immediately following the ceremony.

Question

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is scheduled to begin at 3:30. Please allow yourself adequate time to locate the venue and gather with other guests prior to the start of the ceremony.

Question

What kind of music will be played? Any special entertainment?

Answer

While we don't want to give it all away, plan for an evening filled with dancing and disco vibes. We are so excited that we will be joined by Long Island drag queen legends Annie Manildoo and Ivy Stalls. Please note, explicit music will be played, and the entertainment will be using colorful language! Slay Queen!

Question

I know I should not be asking this but, can I wear white?

Answer

No.
