Your presence is our present! We are hoping to get to Greece for our honeymoon, so thank you in advance for contributing to the honeymoon fund.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Our ceremony is outside on the beach and our reception is indoors at a historic 1920s style hotel; both overlook Lake Superior. Summer comfortable/formal. We want you to look your best and be comfortable. Also remember that it's generally quite a bit cooler that far North! Sundresses, cocktail dresses, nice pants (or "golf" shorts) and button down shirts. It's a little bit of a walk to the beachfront, through a wooded area and sand--please wear good footwear to avoid twisted ankles etc.! The bride will likely wear tennis shoes. No ties, formalwear or sequins required, but we won't stop you!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Both locations will have parking available. Carpooling is recommended for the VRBO at 883 Lakewood Ln because parking will be more limited.

Can I bring additional Guests?
Answer
Due to limited space at both venues, only those specifically listed on the invitation are invited to THIS private event. FYI-we are having a larger celebration at home in Burlington 9/26/26 with a much larger guestlist and less restricted space.

What happens if there is inclement weather?
Answer
We have two separate event spaces booked at the Landmark Inn. In the event of inclement weather, we will have the ceremony in the Sky Room at the Landmark. Please contact the bride or groom directly if you have questions.

Are there TWO events?
Answer
Yes! Our private wedding ceremony in MI is a relatively small event 9/5/26. Two weeks later (9/26/26) we are having a large reception dance at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium where we are able to celebrate with everyone! If you're invited to MI, you're also invited to our local event. But, please be aware that our guestlist for the MI event is generally fairly small and you may know or run into folks that weren't able to commit to making the (long) commute.
