Both natives of Newtown, CT-Jamie and Jake have "known" each other for years. Briefly meeting at a Newtown High School football game senior year, Jamie always had a crush on Jake. But it wasn't until 7 years later at a mutual friend's wedding (shoutout Giselle and Kyle!) that they reconnected and truly started to get to know one another. Although I am sure you could guess who did most of the talking that night, Jake and Jamie bonded over their love of sports and how they both found a love and purpose in the career of coaching. Naturally, their first few dates were working out, volleyball, pickleball, and Jamie teaching Jake how to perfect his flips. They quickly realized for a true introvert and extrovert, they actually had a lot in common and began spending any free moment not coaching or training together. After about a year and half of "officially" dating, Jake proposed to Jamie on her favorite beach by her old apartment on a Monday evening after returning home from a volleyball tournament. They celebrated at the very resturaunt that they went to for their first date, a steakhouse of course! Jake and Jamie couldn't be more excited to tie the knot at their dream venue with all of their favorite people around January 24th, 2027!
