FAQs

Question

Who should I contact if I have more questions?

Answer

Please reach out to our Wedding Planner Patty Gonzalez: patty@loveontopweddings.com

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask that you respond via the RSVP tab on this website by July 26th, 2026. If you run into any technical trouble, please feel free to reach out to us directly and we’ll get you squared away.

Question

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Absolutely! Please let us know about your meal restrictions when you RSVP online.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

While we love all the little ones in our lives, our wedding festivities will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of a few children from our immediate family. To see who is included in your party, please refer to the names listed in your formal invitation or when you enter your name into the RSVP portal. We appreciate your understanding and hope this allows you a weekend of relaxation! For those traveling with invited little ones, professional babysitting services are available through the Banyan Tree concierge.

Question

Can I stay at a different hotel?

Answer

We encourage you to stay at Banyan Tree Mayakoba to take advantage of our preferred rates and included breakfast. Staying on-site not only keeps you close to the wedding festivities but also grants you access to the pools, beaches, and amenities of the other luxury hotels within the Mayakoba complex.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October in Mayakoba is beautiful and tropical, with average temperatures in the high 80s. Most of our festivities will take place outdoors in covered areas to take advantage of the ocean breeze and lush scenery. We recommend light, breathable fabrics to keep you comfortable!

Question

What do you recommend we do during our stay?

Answer

We fell in love with the natural beauty and the incredible culinary scene of Mayakoba. The complex is designed to be explored; you can take a canal boat between resorts or use the complimentary bikes to ride along the nature trails. As guests of Mayakoba, you are welcome to explore the different hotel enclaves and enjoy the beaches, pools, and kids' clubs across the various properties. For those looking for adventure, the beach huts offer paddle boarding, jet skiing, and snorkeling, all of which can be arranged through the concierge or directly on the sand. For a full list of dining and activities, please visit https://mayakoba.com/. If you would like to book an excursion or a specific reservation, please contact the concierge team: ExperienceConcierge-nior.experience@groupbanyan.com

Question

Is there golf nearby?

Answer

Yes! Mayakoba is home to El Camaleón Golf Course, the first PGA Tour course in Latin America. It’s a stunning 18-hole course that winds through three distinct ecosystems: tropical jungle, dense mangroves, and oceanfront stretches. First Tee Time: 7:00 AM Twilight Rates: Begin at 12:00 PM Reservations: We are currently working to secure preferred rates for our guests during the trip. We'll update the site as soon as we have details confirmed. Thank you!
