A Day to Remember

Halle and Jake both went to Carroll University, sharing plenty of mutual friends, but their paths never truly crossed until senior year. Jake first spotted Halle in the middle of chemistry class freshman year, but it took Jake three years to build up the courage to ask her on a date. Jake went all out to impress Halle on their first date. He rented out the private heated domes at Cafe Hollander, which would be a special spot for the rest of their relationship. They connected immediately and followed with a second date the next day. Their relationship continued with lots of football games, dairy queen ice cream, sand volleyball, laughing, golfing, love and support. After graduation, they both landed their dream jobs. Jake as a Firefighter and Halle as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Jake moved back home to Kenosha with his dog (Malibu). Halle followed him a couple months later with her cat (Teddy). Jake, previously scared of cats, surprised Halle with another cat (Ivy) for Christmas. Their story continued when they were getting professional photos done at Villa Terrace in Milwaukee and left engaged on May 24th, 2024. They wanted their wedding day to be even more special, which is how they picked their date. They will be getting married on May 24th, 2026 which will be their two year anniversary of being engaged. They recently bought their first house together and have made it a home!
