Jake and Emily have known of each other since high school, but it wasn’t until college that they went on a date—one that, at the time, didn’t spark anything. However, fate had other plans. In December 2023, when Jake was home for Christmas, he reached out to Emily, and their conversations quickly picked up where they had left off. One date turned into many, and by the end of that evening, they both knew something special was happening. What followed was a year of long-distance dating, as they traveled back and forth between Fort Worth and Greeley, determined to make their relationship work. Jake’s dedication led him to make a major move, and at the beginning of 2024, he packed up and returned to Colorado after an epic proposal in Mexico. In August 2025, they welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Ava Ann, and their love story continues to grow, stronger than ever.
