We met through mutual friends at Georgia Southern University. After connecting over our love of sports, food, and traveling, Jake asked Emily to be his girlfriend after a haunted bar crawl through Savannah, Ga all while Love Sosa was playing in the background (this is important and will come back later).

After trying and failing to keep the proposal a secret, Jake took Emily to lunch at a new wine bar and bookstore she had been excited to try. Afterwards, they went on a romantic walk around Piedmont Park and shared some of Champagne from their trip to Italy in 2022. While there, Jake got down on one knee and asked Emily to be his wife while (you guessed it) Love Sosa played in the background. After Emily said yes, they went and celebrated with all their closest family and friends.
