We first met way back in first grade when we were in the same class together. Throughout the years we shared many memories such as prom and an abundance of afternoons before soccer practice where we had no idea that we were hanging out with who we would eventually call our future spouse. Eventually between college and the military we managed to find our way back to each other and the rest is history :) Our love story has survived many years of long distance, and we know that the foundation we have built as best friends will carry us through the rest of our lives together.
On July 31st, 2020 we took a trip out to Emerald Isle to "take couple's pictures." I was completely oblivious to everything that was going on aside from simply taking pictures. We walked out to the Point at Emerald Isle in what seemed like a sand storm, and in the split second that I looked away Jake got down on one knee and then we were ENGAGED! My brother, Justin, and his soon to be wife, Kerry, were there to capture the beautiful moment on camera and it could not have gone more perfectly.
