Q&A

If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to Jake and Dayna.
Question

What time is the ceremony & reception?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at Oakholm Farm Estate at 3:30pm, with a cocktail hour and reception to follow, in the same location, from ~4:00pm - 9:00pm.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

This is a formal wedding venue and we ask that our guests dress appropriately in cocktail attire. It is early October in New England, and the reception is in a tent, so you may want to be prepared for potentially chilly temps. Additionally, while the tent will have a hard floor, the ceremony will take place on grass - we recommend that you do not wear a stiletto heel.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is ample parking at the venue!

Question

Is there parking at the hotel?

Answer

There is an 8-story parking garage across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn. When you enter the garage, you will pull a ticket and park in any spot in the garage (the hotel does have reserved parking for guests on the first few floors). Your ticket can be validated at the hotel for your entire stay and will receive a discounted rate of $11.95 per night per vehicle that will automatically charged to the card on file for your hotel room. The hotel also has a 15-minute loading/unloading parking zone in the front and back of the hotel for use during check-in and check-out.

Question

Can I bring my child(ren)?

Answer

While we love all of the little ones in our lives, we have chosen not to invite children.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have chosen to spend our day with our closest friends and family. Because of the intimate feel, our wedding is by invitation only.

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

There will be a full cash bar that will begin serving drinks during cocktail hour and throughout the reception.

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

No, transportation will not be provided. There will be plenty of parking for those wanting to drive. Otherwise, we recommend reserving transportation to and from your destination in advance to guarantee an available vehicle (the venue is in a more remote location).

Question

What are the food options at the wedding?

Answer

We will be having a BBQ buffet! There will be plenty of options to accommodate dietary restrictions, which will be marked on the food labels. Those who are strictly vegetarian, please let the servers know.

Question

Where is the after party?

Answer

The after party will be at Free Play Bar Arcade at 25 Union St, Worcester, MA. The arcade is right across the street from the hotel! Wear anything you'd like - wedding clothes or change into casual/comfy clothes! We plan to arrive at the arcade between 10 and 10:30pm, and it is open until 1 am. There is a $7 cover for entrance, but then all games are free!

Question

What is happening on Friday?

Answer

The day after the wedding, Friday, 10/6, we will be hiking Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. The mountain is about an hour north of Worcester. We will be arriving at 12:00pm. We have two campsites reserved at the mountain Headquarters (at 169 Poole Rd., Jaffrey, NH) to be able to hang with our people. Please remember to reserve a parking spot at headquarters in advance - the park is VERY likely to fill up, and you will not be able to enter (with or without a vehicle) if you do not have a reservation. Wear comfortable clothing and bring extra layers; it can get chilly, even at the base (and can get FREEZING at the top). If you are local and have lawn chairs, please bring them. We will provide some food, snacks, and water, but please bring anything that you may want. The hike itself is approximately 3.5 miles round-trip. Park rangers recommend hiking up the white dot trail and down the white cross trail (the white cross is less steep). However, Jake and Dayna will be hiking up and down the white dot. We plan to spend some time at the base after the hike, and hope to spend plenty of time with the people who are making the journey up. After we return to Worcester, there is nothing planned. However, there is plenty to do and a lot of great restaurants. Check out our "Things To Do" page for ideas.

Question

What is happening on Saturday?

Answer

We have a tentative plan to go to Treehouse Brewery (at 129 Sturbridge Rd, Charlton, MA) at ~1:00pm on Saturday. The brewery has ample indoor and outdoor seating and has food trucks on-site.
