Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. sharp. Please be aware that it is a Friday night, and traffic from Atlanta to Athens can get rough. Plan to arrive in Athens several hours before the ceremony time. Check out our Things to Do page for some fun recommendations! Arrive at the church 15-30 minutes before the ceremony to get a parking spot and navigate to the Sanctuary.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding and reception will both be indoors. However, there are beautiful outdoor spaces to explore at the Botanical Garden.

What about kids?

Answer

While we would love for all of the children to join in our celebration, we can only accommodate those that have been included on invitations, mostly family and wedding party. Thank you for understanding!

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP online! At the top of this webpage, you'll see "RSVP." Go to that page and type in your name to find your invitation. Please RSVP by April 15, 2026.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail or Formal Attire: Suits or dress shirts with (or without!) ties, or any length dress or dressy separates are great. Summer shoes, like comfortable heels, dressy sandals, or loafers will rock the dance floor. You’ll look fabulous!

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

We kindly ask that you bring a guest only if a plus one is indicated on your invitation.

What about phones?

Answer

We kindly ask that phones be silenced and put away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Our wonderful photographer will capture the moment! Once the reception begins, feel free to take all the photos and videos you’d like.

Where will I park?

Answer

Ceremony: You will park in the parking lot located behind the church building. Church members will direct you to the Sanctuary. Reception: You will park in the parking lots located about a .25 mile past the entrance to the Botanical Garden. Follow the bridge to the elevator or stairs that take you down to the Conservatory Great Room.

Are the venues wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! Both venues are wheelchair accessible. There is a clear ramp entrance at both locations.

How do I get around?

Answer

While transportation will not be provided between the ceremony and reception, rideshare options such as Uber and Lyft are available. The venues are 10-15 minutes away from each other. The reception venue is 10-15 minutes away from downtown.

What's for dinner (and drinks)?

Answer

Mama's Boy will cater the event with hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and an open bar with beer, wine, and signature cocktails. Tea, lemonade, water, and coffee will also be served. And of course, there will be cake!
