Jake and Brooke met through a mutual friend Rock Lane. Jake took a chance on the shy and quiet girl he fell really for hard 3 weeks before he was supposed to move to Mankato for his freshman year. He knew she was who he wanted to try to be with. It was just a matter of how and timing. The first two years of their relationship was spent seeing each other on weekends, holidays, and school breaks as Jake was a freshman in college and Brooke was a junior at Tartan High School in Oakdale, MN. Brooke ended up attending MNSU Mankato with Jake and they both really enjoyed finally getting to be able to see each other EVERY day. They agreed it was surreal for this to be happening. Jake and Brooke spent 6 years, after her freshman year, living together while growing their family. In 2019 they adopted Jojo, a 3.5 year old king cavalier spaniel, from Brooke's dad. She had been in the family her whole life but came to her forever home in 2019. In 2024 the family unexpectedly grew one more when we fell in love with a Pekingese poodle named Fredward. After being together for 9 years they are ready for the next chapter of our story.
