We’re getting married!!

Jake and I were set up by mutual friends of ours, Whitney and Zach. Zach was living with Jake at the time and Whitney works at Life Time with me. They thought that we would make a great couple so they introduced both of us to the idea of meeting and Jake made the first move by messaging me over Facebook. We hit it off right away, especially when Jake asked me to join forces with him to watch a Bears game LOL. I knew then that this was going to be a great idea. We talked over text for a few days and then Jake set up a lunch date for us to finally meet in person. Jake took me to Buffalo wild wings and picked me up from work on a Saturday afternoon. I was so indecisive and nervous while on our date so Jake caught onto this and made the sweetest gesture and ordered the other wings that i had wanted to try just so i was able to get everything that i had wanted. After lunch i had to go back to work but later that night we met back up for a band and drinks in St Charles with my friend Allison. From that day on, we’ve been inseparable. To this day, Jake still swears up and down that he fell in love with me and knew i was the one as soon as i got into his car ❤️ But i said i love you first haha 😆

It was my 30th Birthday and Jake took me out for drinks in Barrington. I was pretty upset that day due to my plans of having a big party with friends got crushed by the unfortunate Covid 19 panic. Jake of course was not going to allow me to be sad so he made the day super fun by being his loving, goofy self while enjoying delicious drinks outside before going to dinner. We had a romantic dinner at Mortons Steakhouse that night and little did i know that he was about to pop the question. After we finished our steaks, Jake slowly kneeled down on one knee while saying the most beautiful and loving things to me before asking me to marry him. I was a crying mess of course and after what seemed like forever, i finally got myself to say “duh!” Haha 😆 We were so beyond happy and the ring he got me was absolutely gorgeous! But the night wasn’t over... Jake then took me to Top Golf where little did i know that some of my closest friends were there waiting to surprise me for my 30th. They had no idea that Jake had just proposed! We of course celebrated and had an amazing time together while also enjoying the delicious celebratory donut dessert that the waitress surprised us with. I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal from the love of my life! ❤️
