In 2023, Jake and Brian met through a dating app and the rest quickly became history. From their very first date in February 2023, both knew there was something special. With coffee in hand and a walk to set the scene, they discovered just how much they shared: a love of good coffee, a passion for trying new restaurants, and most importantly, a deep love for God. By March 2023, their relationship became official. Since then, Jake and Brian have walked through some of life’s greatest joys and hardest moments side by side. Countless hours spent in coffee shops, time outdoors, adventures near and far, including two especially meaningful trips to Highlands and Cashiers, and evenings filled with laughter on the couch have made each year together more treasured than the last. From purchasing their first home to turning it into a place filled with memories, they have built a life rooted in love and partnership. On the weekend of January 17, 2026, Jake and Brian unknowingly planned to propose to one another, each completely unaware that the other had the very same intention. As they now prepare to celebrate their love, they are incredibly grateful to be surrounded by the people they cherish most and who have supported them every step of the way.
