6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
This is a relaxed, toes-in-the-sand kind of night—come as you are, just maybe not in heels. Expect cool evening temps, so bring a sweater, blanket, or your favorite flannel. Come comfy and ready to play—think picnic-meets-sunset. Sandals, denim, sundresses, flannels, cozy hoodies
Kick off the weekend with us by the ocean! We’ll be gathering on the beach for a casual evening of yard games, good tunes, great sunset vibes and even better company. We will have a some food, a beach bonfire, beer and wine, and a front-row seat to sunset at Haystack Rock. Come as you are, bring a cozy layer, and get ready to relax and celebrate. We will have a limited shuttle schedule to transport people to/from the Venue (The Retreat at Cannon Beach) to the beach bonfire location (near Haystack). Please don't park in the neighborhoods to be respectful of the locals. If you cannot make the shuttle schedule work, please find the nearest legal parking. Also, depending on where you are staying, the stroll along Cannon Beach is wonderful and likely less than 10-15 minute walk depending on where you are staying!
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Think: wedding-ready, but grass-friendly. The ceremony spot is outdoors with some uneven terrain (gravel and grass), so we recommend flat or block-heeled shoes, layers for possible wind or mist, and outfits that won’t mind a sea breeze. Sundresses, jumpsuits, dress pants, button-downs, and light jackets are all fair game. Bring your PNW style—nature will bring the view
Join us as we get married in a backyard - but like, in a beautiful and intentional way. This isn't just any backyard - think sweeping ocean views, front-row seats to Haystack Rock and the Needles, and the luxury of actual grass and chairs rather than on the sand (your ankles are welcome). We will have a short but heartfelt ceremony with a side of sea breeze. Transportation will be provided to and from the reception venue as there is limited parking at the ceremony location. Please park at the Reception location (The Retreat at Cannon Beach) and we will shuttle guests to the ceremony. Last shuttle leaves at 3:15pm. Please be in your seats by 330pm. Expect a short stroll over a few feet of gravel and grass to the ceremony spot, a lot of love, hopefully not too much wind in our hair, and maybe a few happy tears from the bride.
4:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Dress to celebrate—but keep it comfortable! Think cocktail attire with a coastal twist: sundresses, dressy jumpsuits, button-downs, slacks, fun prints, light layers. The cocktail hour will be partly outdoors (covered patio + garden), so bring something warm just in case the evening breeze rolls in. Heels are welcome, but chunky/flat shoes will be friendlier for grass, gravel and fireside mingling
After the ceremony, we’ll head to the event space at The Retreat to kick off the party! We’ll start with a cocktail hour off on the covered patio with wine, beer, and snacks galore—plus plenty of space to wander into the garden and gazebo over the pond (weather permitting, of course). Dinner and dancing will follow indoors, where we’ll toast, eat, laugh, and party into the night. Comfortable shoes encouraged, appetites welcome, dance moves encouraged. Expect cafe lights, good tunes, and good vibes and memories made. For those who choose to stay at the Retreat camping or in cabins you'll be just steps from your accommodation!
9:00 am - 11:00 am
Who doesn't love a good breakfast burrito after a late night? Feel free to swing by on your way out of town and let us say thank you for attending and send you on your way with either a full stomach or a to-go burrito!
