We met in high school through a mutual friend. We all started having lunch together but never really got close until we started hanging out more outside of school with some other mutual friends. The two of us became best friends and hung out all the time. Senior year came around and I asked Jake to prom. He said yes of course! After quite a lot of pressure from friends, Jake (finally) asked me to be his girlfriend, to which I happily said yes. Now here we are six years later. After a LOT of nagging from family and friends, Jake (finally) got down on one knee on April 1st, and I said “no take backs.”
