We lived in Lourdes dorm at Winona State University. Jake lived in the floor below mine, so it wasn't long before we started hang out everyday together. We started spending all of our time together from eating dinner in the dining center to partying it up on the weekends. It only took a couple months before Anna started to hear all about the crush Jake had on me. Jake thought this crush was a secret, but if you know Jake you know he can't keep a secret for very long, so I knew after a couple of days.

Our first date started at Mongos in St. Cloud. It felt so natural just sitting and chatting and joking together. Next we did one of Jake and I's favorite activities, we saw an animated Disney movie, The Good Dinosaur. Jake dropped me at Jordan's house where we shared our first kiss outside of his moms mini van. I promise we aren't 15!

Jake and I became an official couple the weekend I moved into my first college house. I have only seen Jake that nervous one other time in my life and that you can read about below. He kicked his friend Ben out outside and took my hands in his. He then asked "Will you be my girlfriend". I answer " Am I not already?"

Jake proposed the night of our 4th anniversary. He had planned on proposing at our now new favorite restaurant The Butcher and the Boar. However, it was not as intimate as he had hoped, so his plan was foiled for a bit. After having some of the best food of our lives we head home. Here is where he proposed. He got down on one knee in my driveway with my family all waiting inside. I don't think I have stopped smiling since.
