Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly encourage guests to dress in formal, black-tie optional attire. Ladies are invited to wear floor-length gowns, tea-length, or midi dresses, while gentlemen are encouraged to wear dark-colored suits or tuxedos (please, no jeans). Guests are welcome to wear any color they wish, with the exception of white; the bridal party will be dressed in black, and the wedding colors are black and pink.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. Guests are kindly asked to arrive by 5:15 p.m. to ensure they are seated prior to the start of the ceremony. Patio/indoor games will be available, so guests are welcome to arrive early and enjoy the festivities.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Complimentary parking is available across the street from the venue. Please note the lot is shared with the neighboring college and may be busy; guests are encouraged to allow extra time. Overnight parking is permitted.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Since our wedding falls on a Friday, we’ll continue the celebration on Saturday at the Cubs game! Please if planning to attend, purchase bleacher tickets and meet us over in the right field area for the game at 1:20pm. Feel free to text Ashley at 815-922-6493 with any questions or wanting to meet up at the game.

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event. Enjoy a night off and come ready to party!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. We did our best to accommodate dates for everyone invited. Please reach out to the couple if any questions. Thank you for your understanding!

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We have not reserved a hotel block, as many of our guests are located within the Chicagoland area. Please visit the “Accommodations” tab for a few recommended options, or feel free to stay at your preferred hotel in the city.

Will the ceremony take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held indoors. If it is nice out, garage doors will be open during cocktail hour to lead out to the venue's patio.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We have hired amazing professionals to capture this moment for us and we promise to share them as soon as we receive them. Please no phones or camera during the ceremony. However, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like after the ceremony!

Will there be an open bar?

Absolutely! Beer, wine, spirits and specialty cocktails are on us!

I have a food allergy/dietary restrictions, can I make a special request?

Absolutely! Please include any special requests when you RSVP. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom.
