We're tired of waiting! We're tired of uncertainties. We want a small, socially distanced gathering where we can publicly profess our love for, and dedication to, each other. Don't worry, a big celebration is still in the cards. It just might be a few years from now...
It was freshman year of college. We had just moved away from our families. We were brimming with excitement for life and knowledge. And we found ourselves at the center of a loving community of like-minded young adults. On the third day of hanging out in each other's dorm rooms, I asked "Is it too early for me to tell you I love you?" His response? "I've literally already said that to you." We were fast friends. Best friends. Soul friends. For two and a half years, through multiple other romantic relationships, nothing could break the bond we had. Then one summer, I visited him at his research internship. We spent a beautiful long weekend together, catching up, hanging out, and talking like we always did. I believe that's when I fell in love. I confessed my love and romantic interest to him that fall, when I could no longer set it aside for our friendship. A few months later he came around and admitted he loved me too. We spent a blissful year together. Aaaand then he graduated early, and I stayed to do a Masters. We were apart for over a year. Until COVID-19 hit. The transition to online school/work allowed us to end the separation early, and we've been together ever since. We've settled in to our new life in Jersey City, working from home and beginning to build our life together. We're very excited to be getting married and especially honored to have you with us.
