Jake Andrews and Ruby Raub’s story began long before either of them realized it would turn into forever. The two originally met back in their Freedom Middle School days, but like many young connections, life took them in different directions. Years later, fate (and a little help from the dating app Hinge and their younger sisters) brought them back together — and this time, it stuck. Going into their first date neither of them was looking for anything serious… until that date turned into six hours of nonstop conversation. By the end of the night, it was clear something special was happening — the kind of connection that feels easy, exciting, and meant to be. They officially started dating on January 25, 2023. As their relationship grew, so did their love for shared traditions, including yearly couples photos. On December 18, 2025, during what Ruby thought was just another photoshoot celebrating their three-year anniversary, Jake had something much bigger planned. While Ruby was taking solo photos, the photographer casually asked Jake to grab an extra camera battery. Out of the corner of her eye, Ruby noticed movement — and turned to see Jake down on one knee. In front of the Pismo Dunes, he asked the question that would change everything. Now, after years of laughter, love, and choosing each other every day, Jake and Ruby are so excited to begin their next chapter together — surrounded by the people who have loved and supported them along the way.
