We always had mutual friends but had never hung out. Eventually a friend of ours set us up and we went on our first date to the Capri movie theatre in town to watch the live animation Lion king! We instantly hit it off and it felt like we had always known each other! Jake said he was nervous but once I saw him all of my nerves went away.

We went on a family trip to Gatlinburg to celebrate Jake and his sisters big birthdays that year. We had an absolute blast when we were there, going to sight see and then Dollywood. It was the day after his birthday me and Jake split off from the group and went to go to a local spot that had tons of shops and a Farris wheel. Jake convinced me he wanted to go on the Farris wheel… which I am not that scared of hights so I was okay until we got in the cart.. it kept moving and I was so scared every time it shifted. (keep in mind you could stand in it if you wanted to) Jake waited until we got to the very very top and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Me completely confused (thinking it was a joke) kept saying are you serious? Probably 20 times until I finally started crying and said yes!
