We're getting married!

In 2018, Jairo and Trang were both in their first year as students at THE University of Texas at Austin. After a LONG October day, Trang left an event from the school of Pharmacy with a box full of pizza. At the same time, a very hungry Jairo was leaving a 2 and a half hour Longhorn Band rehearsal and was STARVING. When he got on the 670 bus home, he noticed a girl with a box overflowing with pizza. Thinking with his stomach, he tried to talk to this stranger in hopes that she would offer him a slice of pizza. Instead, they both began a friendship that has lead to this marriage.

July 4, 2024— Our first National Park trip could not have been more perfect. After a long summer of working and studying, a trip to the beautiful Rocky Mountains was exactly what we needed. On the last day of this beautiful trip, we pulled over a highway in Colorado to watch the 4th of July fireworks. It was at this moment Jairo popped the question, and Trang happily said Yes.

Right down the street from Jairo's childhood home, he attended this church from the age of 5 till he moved to Austin 15 years later. Trang and Jairo could not be more excited to begin their marriage the same place they found God
