Jaimie and Terence’s story is one full of adventure, new experiences, plenty of laughter, and lots of love. They first met in the most romantic of ways… Tinder. And although Jaimie didn’t recognize him on their first date because Terence arrived with bleach blonde hair (his friend bet him he couldn’t pull it off), they quickly found themselves in mesmerizing conversation. A few hours later at this cozy local wine bar, they each knew they had found someone different. He was a witty guy who could keep up with Jaimie's pace, and would eventually teach her patience and teamwork. She was a witty gal who could make him laugh, and would eventually encourage and challenge Terence to become curious about the world and about himself. After that fateful day, Terence and Jaimie explored LA together — from hole-in-the-wall restaurants and beachside carnival rides to weekend trips and unexpected excursions. In fact, their first trip as a couple together was in Santa Barbara, a city that holds a special place in their hearts. During that vacation, they even ran off a cliff together and paraglided to the shore. Talk about taking a leaping a faith, right? Since that trip, Terence and Jaimie have traveled all over… from the gorgeous coasts of Portugal to the lively streets of New Orleans. From Jaimie’s former home of Washington, D.C. to Terence’s grad school town of Montreal… and about 12 other cities, too. Over the course of their years together, they always found photobooths to capture their memories. Those strips of film represented both the extraordinary and mundane moments, and everything in between. And for them, the photos became a time capsule of their relationship. Even now, their house is full of hundreds of photobooth and polaroid photos together. And even amidst the incredibly challenging years of navigating a global pandemic, Jaimie and Terence did it together. They moved in, learned how to live with one another, and adopted their beloved kitty, Minerva (Minnie for short). They cooked a LOT (and for Terence… learned a lot….), played board games, went to drive-in movies, hiked trails, and grew closer than ever before. In the summer of 2021, Terence had a 5-week work trip in Las Vegas, and it was then when Terence knew he was no longer interested in spending time away from Jaimie — his first week back he started shopping for a ring. His original plan was to propose to Jaimie during Thanksgiving when both families would be in town. But the ring was delayed. His plan B was proposing over the Christmas holiday when he and Jaimie would be in Houston with her parents. But he got covid. And so finally, his 3rd-time’s-the-charm attempt took place on the eve of Jaimie’s 31st birthday, when she was able to share and celebrate the exciting news with all of their friends. Jaimie and Terence’s story will continue beyond their wedding day, and they can’t wait to bring you all along for the ride.
