Question

How do I get to the Valle from San Diego?

Answer

Driving from San Diego to the Valle de Guadalupe takes about two hours. If you drive, be sure to bring cash for the tolls (USD is accepted and it's about $10 in tolls round trip). You'll want to download an offline version of the map in case you lose reception during the drive: https://support.google.com/maps/answer/6291838?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DiOS There are also options for shuttles and private drivers to get you to and from the Valle. We'll post a few in the Travel section of this website. Don't forget your passports, which will be needed to get back across the border into the USA. There is typically traffic at the border crossing when returning from Mexico, so be sure to plan for the extra time at the border on the way back.

Question

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

We will be providing shuttles to pick guests up and drop them off at their hotels and airbnbs. No need to worry about finding your way home after a few (many) tequilas!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

ASAP or by June 3, 2022 at the Las test. We also recommend reserving your stay accommodations ASAP because The Valle is a popular destination for the holiday weekend.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal or Cocktail attire. For Men: suit or a blazer and slacks with and optional tie. For Women: a nice dress, pant suit, or jumpsuit with heels, wedges, or fancy flats. Considerations: You will be outside for the entirety of the wedding. It is typically a warm time of year but the temperature may vary throughout the day and night.

Question

Where do I submit my dinner preference?

Answer

No need! The dinner will be family style and there will be seasonal options for everyone. However, if you do have a food allergy please let Jaimee or Daniel know.

Question

What do I need to know about traveling to Mexico?

Answer

You will need your passport to cross the border. On the way back to San Diego expect a wait to cross the border. You cannot drink the tap water in Mexico. We will buy bottled waters or make a stop on the way down to purchase more. The hotels should also have bottled water available. The national language is Spanish while many Mexicans speak English many do not- time to put those high school Spanish classes to use!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation designates a plus one, yes.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This event will be adults only.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

You can refer to our "Registry" page on our website. There are links to where we are registered there.

Question

Where should we stay in Mexico?

Answer

Check out our travel page for a list of suggested hotels and airbnb's! If you would like to find your own place we recommend staying fairly close to the venue and using TripAdvisor as reference. We will be offering shuttle services for those staying close to the venue.

Question

What are the COVID restrictions?

Answer

At this time there are no vaccination or testing requirements when crossing the boarder into Mexico from San Diego and vice versa. If that changes we will post an update.
