Jaime and Shad were destined to meet each other. They attended the same church... but went to different service times. They were in the same church-sponsored life group... but in two different towns. They attended the same social events... but never arrived at the same time. Nope. Jaime and Shad always "just missed" meeting each other until one day, Fall 2017. They happened to both join the local United Way's Young Professional Leaders group and attended the first group meeting... at the very same time. Well, Shad was late. But it was Fate. Unbeknown to the other, both Jaime and Shad knew they wanted to know each other. A month later, they attended the second meeting. Jaime was already seated when Shad walked in. She hoped he would take the seat next to her. Shad was relieved to see there was a seat available next to Jaime. He walked to the seat, gestured, "Is anyone sitting here?" Jaime smiled and said, "No. You can sit next to me."

Their first date was in Summer 2018. After many late-night conversations about building headboards, their favorite anime, and bucket list places to visit... Jaime happened to be craving ice cream... and Shad knew this was his door to fly in and sweep her off her feet. He asked, "Have you ever been to Bops?"

This Christmas, 2019, Jaime and Shad were visiting her childhood home. This was an odd Christmas day because the family decided to open gifts the day after Christmas. The children were joyously opening gifts and the grandparents were enjoying a house full of love. Slightly nervous, but with a smile on his face, Shad brought Jaime a rather large box. Jaime asked, "Are these some fancy slippers or something," as she unwrapped the paper. *At this moment, Jonathan, Jaime's twin happened to step out of the room.* When she lifted the lid... inside the large box... was a smaller box. And it was red. Jaime knew what it was and against her will, she began to cry. Shad took the box and got on one knee. As Shad asked her to marry him in the most precious of ways, all that could be heard throughout the house was, "Jonathan, where are you!!! Jonathan, you missed it!!!"
