We both went to Rider University but did not actually meet until 3 years into school. At the beginning of our Senior year we were introduced to each other through mutual friends. We started to spend time together until we went out on our first date at Applebee’s. The rest was history!
A few days before the proposal Ryan told me that we had dinner plans in Jersey City for the night of the 4th. He made it seem as if we were meeting up with friends to have dinner and go out that night. We spent the day together walking around Jersey City, attempting to get massages, having lunch, and just laughing and having fun. As the day progressed we went back to our hotel room to get ready for dinner. Upon our arrival to the Liberty House restaurant I was gaining suspicion as I could tell Ryan seemed nervous and anxious. When we got into the restaurant we were told there was a "wait" and that we can wait in the back of the restaurant. As we were guided towards the back I was led outside to a breathtaking view of the New York Skyline, and a candlelit path. It was at that moment that I was assured my suspicion was correct. As we walked the candlelit path the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran was playing. To this day I cannot tell you what the words were that came out of Ryan's mouth as I was completely overwhelmed with joy and excitement. He than got down on his knee and popped the easiest question I have had to answer in my life! The proposal was than followed with a romantic dinner at Liberty House and a celebration with our family and friends at Zepplen Hall after. We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with all of the people we love the most!
