FAQs

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico?

Answer

The Real ID License, State License or Passport is what you will need in 2023 to fly into Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories. Also, since Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, their currency is conveniently U.S. dollars!

Question

Which airport do I fly into?

Answer

You will need to fly into San Juan Luis Munoz Marin International Airport.

Question

What’s the average flight price?

Answer

Flying round trip from California to Puerto Rico usually averaged $400-450. Closer states should be cheaper than that because they are closer to Puerto Rico. If you see prices are HIGH, don’t feel pressure to buy just yet.

Question

When should I fly in for the wedding?

Answer

We recommend flying out by Wednesday night (2-3 days prior) to help get situated and leave a little room for sight seeing.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVP date is February 15th. Since it is a destination wedding, we recommend already having your flight/hotel booked by that time as well.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Check out our “Travel” section on the website for our list of hotel recommendations. Note: Many guests are liking/booking at Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel based on location and affordability.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Not currently, which is why we strongly recommend getting a rental car if you plan on driving to tourist attractions. We are looking into providing a bus (guests pay though) if we find a convenient area for guests to meet up at.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! Please notify us if your planning on bringing your child or children in the RSVP for an accurate head count. **A signed waiver for each child is required by the venue to ensure safety. It is the parents sole responsibility to look out for the pool and stairs on the property.**

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony is planning on starting at 4:30 PM. Please arrive between 4:00-4:20 PM in order to take your seats on time.

Question

Does the venue have plenty of parking?

Answer

Yes, it is a dirt lot right below the steps to the ceremony/reception.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Right here on Zola! Our main request is any contribution to our Honeymoon Fund (found on the registry), which would be greatly appreciated.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Semi-Formal attire is required. Please no jeans, t-shirts and flip-flops.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We are accommodating to all varieties of food preferences and will be serving buffet style. It will be your responsibility to let the caterer know about your allergies for the food being served the day of the wedding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Each individual invite is allowed one date (plus one). The invites addressed “Family” at the end means your household family is already invited and no “Plus One” is permitted in addition. Please reach out if you have any questions!
