We met in 6th period culinary class. We both had worn "inappropriate shoes for the kitchen" that day because Jaime had baseball practice, and I had to dress up for cheer. This left us the only ones not allowed in the kitchen which meant we had to do book work instead. I thought I would be nice and get Jaime his own textbook from the front of the class when I went up to get mine. I tried to hand it to him and in response he said, "No I'll get my own damn textbook". It took me back a little, but I wasn't going to let it go (and I thought he was so cute I wanted to keep talking), so instead I put it right down Infront of him aggressively, smiled and sat down. We would periodically look up at each other but nothing more was said. We would have never talked if it weren't for our good friend Claudio who sat right next to me in class. He was the middleman who would coincidentally need help from Jaime any time I needed help, leading him to introduce us more formally. We got more and more familiar which each other and eventually he added me on snapchat. I added him back and he commented on one of my stories striking up a conversation. This same conversation led to us exchanging numbers and then a facetime call that lasted from 9pm till 5 the next morning. It was the most effortless and easy-going conversation just getting to know each other, we totally forgot we both had to get up for school in less than an hour. He eventually asked me out after a couple of days, and it was the easiest yes, we never looked back. Now here we are after almost 6 years later with a million memories made and countless "I love You's". I wouldn't want to be doing life with anyone else. We are beyond excited to be getting married and start the next chapter of our lives together.
