We are finally getting married!!!

We would love to tell you our story began with love at first sight, but that isn’t the case at all. Heck, we don’t even remember the first time that we met. It wasn’t until our one year anniversary that we were told that what we thought was our first meeting was really actually not. And to make it even better. There are pictures to prove this. We actually thought our story began October of 2014 when cousin/friend Shannon gathered us all at Stoneys for a night of dancing. Names were exchanged, dances were danced, drinks were drank, pictures were taken and sent in group messages. We all parted ways at the end of the night with Kat promising Shannon she would text when safely home. When Kat got just about home she messaged the group with Jaime and Shannon in hopes that Jaime would message back. As Jaime says (hook, line and sinker) she messaged back in a single message and we talked for hours. One thing led to another and we have been together ever since. Fast forward to October 2015 and a bomb was dropped by Shannon. We went to visit Shannon on our one year anniversary. While having some drinks we were talking about how we met and Shannon with all her bomb dropping informed us we were incorrect. We had met the summer of 2013. Shannon was in Vegas and gathered us on Freemont Street. Kat was on a blind date and Jaime was hanging out. We were all there together. Shannon had to pull out pictures to prove it to us because neither of us remembered.

From the first time they met Jaime told Kat she would NEVER get married. Kat loving Jaime decided that was just the way things would be. Jaime didn’t even acknowledge that they were dating until after the first year anniversary. Every year Jaime asks “what do you want to do for our anniversary” and every year Kat says “I dont’t know”. October 11th of 2020 Jaime’s mom invited them over for Sunday dinner just like she does every Sunday. Jaime (out of the blue) decides she is going to play a game with the kids and Kat could not play. While she is having the kids yell out random tongue twisters Kat is stuffing her face and playing on her phone. All of a sudden the kids yell and say “Will you marry Jaime?!?” Wait, what? Finally cluing in Kat sees Jaime on one knee and realizes that what she has wanted for so long has just happened. Jaime proposed.
