It all began with the age-old pickup line: Want to photobomb Tom DiNapoli? We were guests at the 2019 LGBT Network gala where the NYS Comptroller was an honoree. Jaime responded, "Of course!" and thus began a Facebook- and Words with Friends-ship that eventually turned into a first date in late April of 2022. There were sparks. He was drawn to her smile; she loved how he made her laugh. As time went by, she noticed how he continually showed up for the people he loved. He had so many friends who would pull her aside and whisper, "He's the best guy I know." And so, she kept smiling, and he kept liking it. They danced. They traveled. They learned to trust each other. And they fell in love, laughing together the whole time. Today you can find them at various political functions and, to Tom DiNapoli's chagrin, still photobombing.
