Cocktail dress is requested for both the ceremony and reception. No jeans please. We do encourage everyone to accessorize with your Chiefs gear at the reception!!
Please arrive to Hotel Kansas City by 2:15 to allow yourself time to locate the venue and get seated. The ceremony will start promptly at 2:30.
Hotel Kansas City offers valet service which you can access outside the main entrance on Baltimore Avenue. The cost is $24 for a one-time park and $42 for overnight with unlimited ins and outs. The wedding ceremony will take place in the Grille Room at Hotel Kansas City. There will be signs in the hotel lobby directing our guests to the venue.
The first two rows surrounding the aisle will be reserved for immediate family members. Otherwise it is open seating, so please sit where you like.
Whatever you want! Hotel Kansas City has a great lobby bar if you want to stick around for a drink after the ceremony, or check out the Things to Do page for some of our favorite spots nearby. There are also plenty of shops at the Plaza where the reception is located.
Rye is located on the Country Club Plaza and is about a 10 minute drive from Hotel Kansas City downtown.
Please arrive to Rye between 5:00 and 5:30. The reception is located in the private room at the back of the restaurant. There will be drinks and appetizers available prior to the bride and groom's arrival.
Parking at the Plaza can sometimes be a challenge! There is some street parking available and a few parking garages nearby. All the garages on the Plaza are free, but they do fill up.
Yes, as we will enjoy a plated dinner, there will be assigned seating at Rye. Place cards will be on the tables to indicate each guest's assigned seat. However, outside of the dinner service, feel free to mix and mingle!
We have a reservation at Granfalloon at 9:00 for those who want to continue the celebration after the reception. Granfalloon is also located on the plaza and is a 3 minute drive or 11 minute walk from Rye.
