Our Story

08.27. 14

Where do I start? I actually met the love of my life when we were just kids. We played on the same Tee Ball team when we were in elementary school and his father was our coach. Through school we lost contact until high school. We met again on the bus after he moved closer to my neighborhood. We didn’t talk a lot, but he was very funny and he actually sung me a song, just because, one afternoon on the ride home. We lost contact again until my final year of college and reconnected for the last time at the grocery store in our old home town. We instantly fell in love and did everything together. We traveled, dated, and he even helped me with my homework. After a year of love and fun times, we found out we were expecting! What was unexpected, was that our precious bun in the oven was surprisingly TWO! We now have two of the most beautiful baby boys you will ever see and our family is growing physically, mentally, and spiritually every day. My future husband and I still wanted to take it slow and not rush our big day. He has done everything to provide for our family, even starting a new career in real estate. What makes us such an amazing couple is learning that love is unexpected. My soulmate popped up in my life three times before I realized what was meant to be. Life has a funny way of showing you what God has planned for us all. Thank you for reading!

The Proposal

12.19.15

The Melting Pot restaurant had been on our must try list for months! I constantly reminded him every time we drove by how bad I wanted to try out the restaurant. I had heard great things about it and I couldn’t wait to try it for myself. So finally, on December 19, 2015, we went. What turned out to be a normal date night turned out to be MUCH more. Upon walking to our table rose pedals were laid all around and a beautiful bouquet of roses sat on the table. Me, having never been, thought it was apart of the experience. As dinner carried on we ate our food and of course we had to have dessert. David excused himself from the table but, if you know David you know he ALWAYS has to use the bathroom. So I thought nothing of it. As he returned, the waiter brought out our dessert plates, when I began to here someone singing. I looked over my shoulder and saw his brother holding a camera recording and his cousin walking behind him singing. Tears instantly begin to fall and as I turn around, David is on one knee holding a ring and a plate sat on the table that had Will You Marry Me? Written in chocolate. It was the absolute best proposal and our speacial moment was all captured on camera. I will never forget how special he made our “date night” and December 19th will always be a date to remember.
