Briley and I both grew up in Gardner, KS and were a year apart in school. Just before starting my freshman year of high school, my family moved to Ottawa, KS. We had quite a few mutual friends in school but had never officially met each other until later down the road. We even hung out at a mutual friend's house at the SAME TIME.... but still didn't officially meet until later. In 2010, after hanging out at the mutual friend's house at the same time, we had become friends on Facebook. We went YEARS without acknowledging each other on social media and then one day, he posted a picture of him and his beloved dog, Daisy. I liked the photo and from that point forward, we started to notice each other on social media. About a month after liking that first picture, while in Branson with some friends for Spring Break, I received my first message from him! We quickly realized how many mutual friends we had and how closely we lived our lives to each other before officially meeting. Our first date was breakfast at Old 56 and the rest is history! :)
