Blaine was newly moved into West Lodge 234 at Eckerd College. He and his roommate, Stefan, took leftover cookies from their dorm meeting and stuck a sign on their door that said “knock for a cookie,” hoping to make some new friends. After a short while, the girls who lived next door knocked - including a cute girl named Jaime. A month later, Blaine and Jaime were a couple. In December of 2022, they both graduated from Eckerd. After graduation, Jaime started a job with Audubon CT, and Blaine a job at Gulf Specimen Marine Lab in Panacea, FL. Long distance was tough, but not tougher than these two lovebirds who love birds. After 6 months of distance, Blaine found a job in CT and moved up to be with Jaime. On September 5th of 2023, their 5th “anniversary”, Blaine proposed. After another 6 months, Jaime got a job on Long Island, and Blaine got one in Manteo, North Carolina. It seemed another stint of long distance love was inevitable. After completing her term in NY, Jaime found a job in NC and moved down to Manteo. For the first time, Blaine and Jaime lived together in their own place. This is where the two currently reside, working in conservation, tending a vegetable garden, and rearing their hens Gus, Broc, and Bella (short for Asparagus, Broccoli, and Portabella).
